Veritas Property Management is an established security and maintenance company providing services for large corporate customers. They specialise in securing large void residential buildings, warehouses, retail parks and construction sites by implementing state of the art alarms alongside manned guarding and physical security including concrete barriers, fencing and steel doors/sheeting.
It has developed a very loyal and prestigious client base including CBRE, JLL, Allsop, Savills, Persimmon, Alder King, Morrisons, KPMG, Knight Frank, NSL, Colliers and Workman to name just a few.
Veritas’ key operations are located at its Head Office in rural Wiltshire. Despite the recent investment into a dedicated leased fibre line to the site, it was deemed that the current technology and infrastructure was tying the business to the physical location.
This was problematic - and with frequent power outages, 'snow days' caused by bad weather and the possibility of foot and mouth or other such issues, the business was being severely impacted with network outages.
With the company experiencing significant growth and intending to open new offices around the UK, a more robust communications platform with built-in contingency and flexibility was required.
The key aspects of the new solution would focus on complete cloud enablement meaning that any staff member could work from any site.
The solution also had to support the business investment in Microsoft software, be easy to use and support the business growth plans.

Datasharp Integrated Communications delivered a privately-hosted Unify OpenScape Business unified communications platform combined with the myPortal app for additional features including visual voicemail, call recording, instant messaging, conferencing, call journals and access to internal and external directories.
The Unify solution provided the communications tools required for staff to work across any location on any device, including deskphone, mobile app and PC/Mac softphone.
Datasharp Integrated Communications also provided 'Firewall As A Service’ (FWaaS) using the latest SonicWall security appliance to secure the Veritas network.
This innovative monthly subscription service significantly reduces the cost and complexity of firewall deployment and includes all hardware, licensing, installation, updates, support and consultancy to ensure the business operation is protected.

Veritas staff are now working remotely, there has been no loss of business – in fact it's very much 'business as usual'. The business also has a robust Disaster Recovery plan.
The solution implemented has allowed Veritas staff to work seamlessly from home when required. They have the ability to triage and navigate their telephone extensions which is an essential requirement to support the business' complex 'all hour’s' operation.
Datasharp Integrated Communications set up the specific complex call structures required for Veritas to provide out-of-hours support for many companies and receiving calls at night relating to security breaches.
The entire network has been replaced and now supports the business' telephones and other network traffic.
