Bray Leino is an integrated marketing communications agency in the South of England. They have three main sites at Filleigh, Barnstaple and Bristol, with almost four hundred users.

Bray Leino had several, disparate legacy phone systems in place, as well as a new Microsoft Lync solution that they were not wholly satisfied with.


The Unified Communications system was deployed at the three main sites, with N + 1 resilience and a virtualised system, all on a VMWare environment. The beauty of ShoreTel’s integrated solution is that it is a single system but each site is locally survivable, in the event of an outage. They also deployed a collaboration server for audio conferencing and desktop sharing: presenting to clients is important at Bray Leino, and reliable communication is an essential part of the pitching process.


With only one portal, the whole system is so much more manageable. The replacement of ISDN lines to SIP trunks also means a massive cost saving, as well as a huge saving on international roaming with ShoreTel mobility. Bray Leino can also have many more numbers as they are not limited to numbers from the exchange. The local network is very fast and the system is supported and maintained by Datasharp. The Unified Communications platform is modular and upgradable if necessary for future development as the business expands. ShoreTel videoconferencing is currently being considered.
