Zoom Phone is one unified app for phone, video, meetings, and chat. It allows the user to seamlessly make and receive phone calls, share content, participate in video meetings, and send chat messages from Zoom desktop and mobile apps.

Zoom Phone Global Availability

There is an ever-expanding footprint of countries in which to provide local phone numbers. Countries outside the current native PSTN offering can use the ‘Bring your Own Carrier’ model (which provides the option to use the current phone service provider to power the Zoom Phone cloud PBX service in virtually any country) to move to Zoom Phone.

Bring Your Own Carrier (BYOC)

The BYOC option (designed for organisations with 250+ users) works by redirecting existing voice circuits/trunks to the Zoom Phone cloud. This approach helps limit risk in porting large volumes of numbers, avoid early-termination fees of a current contract, and maintain discounted call rates. You can migrate to Zoom Phone calling plans over time, but with BYOC, you don’t have to go all-in on a VoIP solution right away and risk disruption from an abrupt carrier migration.

Cloud Peering

With Cloud Peering, the organisation’s Session Border Controller (SBC) is connected directly to the cloud. No equipment is required on-premise. Zoom partners with BT to deliver this service via the cloud.

Zoom Phone supports enhanced emergency calling (999) within the United Kingdom.

There are simple payment plans too. The Zoom Phone Pro Global Select plan allows businesses to select from local numbers and domestic calling in 43 different countries (as at Nov 2020).
